Sandra Tonkin

Sandra joined the Trust as Secretary in April 2022.

She grew up in Kakanui, Oamaru, where her family ran a market garden, before moving to Christchurch. Sandra later returned to Oamaru, which she considers home, and has worked across a variety of sectors, in Food, Health, Real Estate and Administration.

Sandra enjoys being actively involved in the community. Oamaru is a welcoming. creative, and quirky place with plenty of opportunities to meet new people and appreciate the uniqueness of the Waitaki region.
