Faye Ormandy

Faye Ormandy

Faye joined the Trust as Secretary in 2002. She and her husband Graeme owned a horticultural property at Kakanui which they sold at the end of 2015 and retired to Oamaru. They have three adult children and seven grandchildren.

Faye has been involved with many community groups and was most recently employed as Heritage Coordinator for the Oamaru Whitestone Civic Trust. Since retirement from that role, and having grown up in the Duntroon district, she has been assisting Vanished World in Duntroon to progress its aspirations to become a UNESCO Global Geopark. Faye enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, reading (mainly non-fiction), doing family research and playing the odd game of Scrabble.
